We are pleased that you have chosen us for your driver education. We strive to do the absolute best in preparing our students for testing and helping them along the way. We offer a variety of road test services.
ATLANTIC DRIVING SCHOOL
NJ ROAD TEST
No matter who the driver, a loved one, or yourself, having an NJ driver’s license is a key to independence. The safety of your driver is our first concern. Whether three driving lessons or more, we will actively assess your driver’s strengths and weaknesses to help them anticipate possible danger.
An instructor will review all the skills required to pass the test, with a special concentration on parallel parking. If you are interested I this service, we recommend that you contact our office four weeks before the test date to ensure availability for your date.
ENROLL EARLY
PACKAGES AVAILABLE
PREMIER $290
- On the day of your road test, we will meet you at our office for your appointment.
- You will receive a 2-hour lesson on all the skills needed to safely pass the test.
- A few minutes prior to your test appointment, your instructor will escort you through the check-in process and will wait in the instruction vehicle with you until your test begins.
- Your instructor will wait for you at the DMV while you take the road test.
- At the end of the test, we will bring you back to our office
BRUSH-UP $220
- On the day of your road test, we will meet you at our office for your appointment.
- You will receive a 1-hour lesson on all the skills needed to safely pass the test.
- A few minutes prior to your test appointment, your instructor will escort you through the check-in process and will wait in the instruction vehicle with you until your test begins.
- Your instructor will wait for you at the DMV while you take the road test.
- At the end of the test, we will bring you back to our office.
CAR RENTAL $140
- On the day of your road test, we will meet you at our office for your appointment.
- Your instructor will drive you to the road test center.
- A few minutes prior to your test appointment, your instructor will escort you through the check-in process and will wait in the instruction vehicle with you until your test begins.
- At the end of the test, we will bring you back to our office.
REFRESHER LESSON $160
- Our 2-hour Refresher lesson can be custom tailored to meet your needs.
- If you’re preparing for your road test, a refresher course will cover everything you need to do on the test. We will go over parallel parking, k-turns, backing and general driving skills.
- If you have already passed your test but haven’t driven for a while, our refresher lesson is the perfect solution. We prepare students to get the confidence they need. A refresher driving lesson can help you get back up to speed.
**There is an additional charge of 3% to your total if you are using a credit card as a form of payment**

WHAT TO BRING TO A ROAD TEST
- Original US birth certificate or NJ state ID card.
- Valid examination permit.
An accompanying licensed driver. - Red decals must be on both plates of vehicles used for the road tests.
- A registered vehicle with a current inspection sticker and insurance card.
- Examiner must be able to reach either the foot brake or parking brake.
- Rental cars are only acceptable if the driver taking the test is included on the rental contract as an additional driver and is of contract age.
- Use of a driving school car is permitted.
REMEMBER
- You may drive yourself to the testing area as long as you are accompanied by a 21-year-old or older NJ licensed driver. They must have their license for three years or more. If your licensed driver is licensed from another state other than NJ, they must drive the vehicle to the Road Test. Remember, practice driving on the actual test course is prohibited.
- Remember NEVER to move the vehicle unless a licensed driver is in the car. When using your vehicle for the road test, please be aware of the following: You cannot use a car with any console that would prevent the examiner from reaching the brake. This type of vehicle must have a hand brake in the center console. If it does not, it cannot be used for the road test.
- When you pass your road test, the MVC Safety Specialist will endorse your examination permit allowing you to obtain your license at a motor vehicle agency. You cannot drive alone until you have visited an agency to hand in your permit. They will issue a temporary driver’s license. Your actual license will be mailed to you.
