REFUND

POLICIES. 1. Payments and Refunds 

If you sign up for a paid product or service, you agree to pay us the fees listed. Driving lessons are pre-paid, meaning you pay for one or more lessons at the time of booking.  After you make the payment, your account will have credit for the number of lesson hours  included in the package you bought, for example, 2 hours for a single lesson or 6 hours for a  package of three lessons. You may use the credits to book lessons at any time for a twelve month period.  

Refunds are available for six (6) months from the date of purchase. If, during this time, you want  your balance refunded, please email AtlanticDrivingSchoolnj@gmail.com.  

To calculate the refund amount for any unused portion of a package, we take the amount you  paid and deduct the then-current full cost of any lessons you took. The result is intended to be  the same as if you were to have purchased each lesson taken at the time they were taken. That  means that if you bought a package of three lessons and took two, the refund for the third lesson  may be less than 33% of the package price. Refunds by check will be issued within 7 days.  Refunds by credit card may take several days to be reflected on your credit card. 

  1. Cancellations and Re-bookings

When you schedule a driving lesson, you have reserved a car and an instructor. 

If for any reason you cannot keep an appointment or need to make changes, we ask that you  call us at least 48 business hours in advance of the lesson. To cancel or reschedule, you must  speak to one of our office staff. Leaving a message on our answering machine is not  acceptable. 

If you cannot get someone on the phone, you must email us at  

atlanticdrivingschoolnj@gmail.com. We will confirm that we have received your email. 

If at least 48 hours’ notice is not given, we charge a $45 cancellation fee. For a weekend or  Monday lesson you must call by the Thursday before the lesson. 

If you cancel due to illness, please supply us with a doctor’s note in order not to incur the  cancellation fee. A no-show due to illness will forfeit the lesson. 

  1. No-Show Policy:

If you do not show up on time for your scheduled appointment, you forfeit the service.  You will be charged the full price of the service booked. 

You will need to pay for a new appointment before we can set it up. 

A No-show may be: 

  • If you do not show up for your appointment.
  • If you turn up more than 15 minutes late without having phoned us to let us know.
  • If you arrive without the correct documents.
  •  If you arrive without glasses or contacts if stated necessary on your permit or license.
  • If you are impaired in any way and not able to do your lesson.
